Preceptorship - PA Information
Entering primary care as a newly qualified physician associate can be extremely challenging and nerve-raking. It's important that you're able to transition into your full role over a period of time and not just be thrown in the deep end.
Guidance and support is available with Health Education England offering £5000 to your primary care employer to fund a preceptorship programme. This programme will mean you get a formal induction period as well as follow up reviews with your supervisor. Not only this but it means you will be offered time out of each week for education sessions a well as time during the preceptorship period to engage in multi-professional learning activities. These are a few on the benefits of having a formal preceptorship programme.
